JAMMU, Nov 17: Rural Tigers Dharam Khoo defeated Bahu Brothers Jammu by 3-2 sets in the Sardar Bhagat Singh Memorial Tournament and lifted the title of the tournament, organised at Raipur Domana, here today.
Former Minister, Ch Suknandan Kumar and BJP Kisan Morcha UT president, Omi Khajuria were among the chief guests of the event who presented a cash prize of Rs 21000 and trophy to the winning team, while Rs 11000 along with runner-up trophy was awarded to the runner-up team.
While addressing the public, Sukhnandan said that sports play an important role to make a human body physically and mentally fit and appealed to the youth to stay away from the drug menace and participate in the games to make themselves physically fit.
DDC Member Marh, Balbir Lal; SHO Gharota Khyati Maan; Sarpanch, Jaswant Singh Jassa; Sarpanch, Nitu and other dignitaries were present during the event.
