Ruhaan’s brilliant ton drives CAP to big win

JAMMU, Jan 4: Ruhaan Raj Kalra’s scintillating 121-run innings propelled Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) to a comprehensive win over Crossway Academy in the intra-academy cricket series at CAP KC International School grounds.
In the 35-overs-a-side contest, CAP won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Ruhaan Raj Kalra and Nirmit gave a blistering start, putting on 87 runs in just 8 overs. Nirmit contributed a quick 44 off 28 balls, including seven fours and a six, while Ruhaan anchored the innings, scoring 121 off 89 balls with 19 fours and a six. Hazim finished strongly with 55 off 44 balls, including eight boundaries, helping CAP post a formidable total of 278.
In response, Crossway Academy struggled against disciplined bowling and were all out for 92. Ishan Verma and Daksh claimed two wickets each, while Rajveer was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets in four overs for just nine runs. From Crossway’s side, Prerak Gupta was the top scorer with 14 runs.
Abhinandan Singh (2/35) and Ikhlaq (2/47) were notable performers for Crossway in bowling. The match was officiated by Crossway Head Coach Sukomal Ganguly and CAP Jammu Coach Mohit Kumar Sharma. CAP’s dominant performance highlighted their depth in batting and bowling.
