Roshan, Sakshi, Jaspreet emerge winners in u-19 200 meters, Jammu lifts Cricket title trophy

JAMMU, Oct 8: Inter District Division and State Level Championships, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, were played at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter District Divisional Level Athletic Meet for girls under all age groups concluded at MA Stadium, here today.
In under-19 (200 meters), Roshan Bibi of District Kathua, Sakshi Koul of District Jammu and Jaspreet Kour of District Poonch clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, whereas in 300 meters, Neelma Devi of District Jammu, Pooja Devit of District Reasi and Alam Bibi of District Kathua bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively and in 1500 meters, Nishat Begum of District Udhampur, Bhawani Devi of Jammu District and Sushma Devi of District Reasi pocketed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In under-19 Discuss Throw, Priya Angral of District Samba, Ruksar Kousar of Disrtrict Poonch and Shamim Akhter of District Reasi secured gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In under-17 (300 meters), Yasmeen Akhter of District Samba, Aditiya Aryan of Jammu District and Kousar Bibi of District Kathua claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, whereas in 3000 meters, Ashu Devi of Udhampur District, Kajal Devi of District Jammu and Shahida Akhter of District Reasi bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively and in 1500 meters, Tripta Devi of Jammu District, Shenaz Kosar of District Poonch and Movina Bano of District Ramban clinched gold, silver and bronze medals.
In under-17 Discuss Throw, Shallu Devi of District Udhampur, Sarika Devi of District Samba and Rukh Jabeen of District Poonch bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In under-14 Discuss Throw, Zindagi of Jammu District, Suman Bhagat of District Udhampur and Priyanks Slathia of District Samba clinched gold, silver and bronze medals.
In under-14 (200 meters), Sharda Devi of District Udhampur, Anita Rani of District Kathua and Shampy Kumari of District Jammu bagged gold, silver and bronze medals, whereas in 600 meters, Anshu Rani of District Udhampur, Shilpa Devi of District Ramban and Shahida Akhter of District Reasi secured gold, silver and bronze medals.
KATHUA: Jammu lifts the Inter Division State Level Cricket Tournament title for under-19 boys.
The tournament was held on Best of Three Basis in which super seven players of each division were playing.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Jammu made 91 runs in allotted 7 overs in the opening match and in reply, Kashmir Division bundled out at 75 runs, thus Jammu won the match by 16 runs.
In second consecutive match, Kashmir bat first and scored 53 runs in 7 overs and in reply Jammu achieved the target in last over by losing just two wickets. Irfan, Vijay and Kapil of Jammu did well for their team.
