JAMMU, June 13: Ronak scored magnificent century (149 runs) as Rebellions Cricket Club and Rising Star Nagri registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing JKCA District level Cricket Tournament, being played at different venues in Jammu province.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA.
At GGM Science College Hostel ground, Jammu, Rebellions Cricket Club defeated Star Blasters by a huge margin.
Batting first, Rebellions CC scored a big total of 307 runs. Ronak top scored with brilliant 149 runs, while Munna and Anshu contributed 38 and 28 runs to the total respectively. Nitish took 3 wickets from Star Blasters.
In reply, Star Blasters bundled out for 88 runs. JAtin and Youraj scored 13 and 11 runs to the total respectively. Sagar took 3 wickets while Sushil and Rahul claimed 2 wickets each. Ronak was declared as the man of the match.
At Police Lines Ground Kathua, Rising Star Nagri defeated Junior Cricket Club Kathua by 2 wickets.
Batting first, Junior Cricket Club scored 143 runs in 32.2 overs. Nishank top scored with 37 runs, while Sanam contributed 29 runs to the total.
Rising Star scored the required runs by losing 8 wickets to win the match by 2 wickets.
Avinash Puri (53) and Jag Mohan (26) were the main scorers. Sourav took 4 wickets for Junior XI Kathua. Avinash was adjudged as man of the match.
