JAMMU, Dec 3: Romesh Sharma, a retired engineer from Jal Shakti Department, showcased exceptional skill at the Maharaja Agrasen Badminton Tournament, held at Sports Complex, Sector 38 West, Chandigarh. Sharma won a total of four medals, including a gold medal in the Men’s Singles 60+ category, defeating Rakesh Bansal of Punjab by 21-18, 21-14 and earning a cash prize of Rs 7,500.
In addition, he secured three bronze medals in the combined age-group events: Mixed Doubles 120+ partnering with Dilnaj of MP, Men’s Doubles 120+ with Parveen Taneja of Chandigarh and Men’s Doubles 130+ pairing with Sat Pal Angurala, also of Chandigarh.
