JAMMU, Aug 9: R.N. Tagore Higher Secondary School, Jammu, organized a grand programme to induct the newly elected Students Council for the academic session 2025-26. The event was graced by Sunil Singh Jasrotia (SDPO City South Jammu) as chief guest, along with Rajesh Singh Jamwal (Assistant Secretary, JKBOSE), Naveen Gupta (SO, JKBOSE) and Harinder Pal Singh as special guests. They were warmly received by Principal Dr. Hitesh Mahajan, staff and students.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the school’s Founder Members, Late Mulkh Raj Gupta and Late Vishno Devi. This was followed by a soulful school prayer and welcome address.
Ankit Yadav and Anjali Pradhan (Class 12th) were formally appointed as Head Boy and Head Girl. House Captains and Vice Captains included Palak and Arnav Salgotra (A.P.J. Abdul Kalam House), Simarpreet Kour and Jatin (Aryabhatta House), Ishmeet Kour and Shruti Kumari (C.V. Raman House), Avleen Kour and Tarun Kumar (Vikram Sarabhai House).
Class Representatives: Ishika Kumari, Harmandeep Kour (Class 10), Sameer Kumar (Class 9), Dakshit Singh, Aaradhya Gandotra (Class 8), Mananhad Kour, Abhinav Parshad (Class 7), Panchi Gupta, Saloni Kumari (Class 6). The event concluded with the oath-taking and national anthem, promoting unity and dedication.
