JAMMU, Jan 18: Real Kashmir FC is set to face Sporting Club Bangalore in an exciting I-League clash tomorrow at the TRC Ground in Srinagar. The match will kick off at 1:00 pm. Ahead of the game, RKFC head coach Ishfaq Ahmad expressed optimism about his team’s chances, despite the strength of their opponents. He praised his team’s resilience in their previous match against Sreenidi Deccan FC, where they managed a draw despite playing with 10 men. Ahmad hope the same determination will be displayed in Sunday’s game.
The coach also touched on RKFC’s ongoing struggles with away games, acknowledging that while the team controls possession, they need to be more clinical in front of goal. He believes that recent improvements in this area will lead to better outcomes in future matches. Additionally, Ahmad stressed the club’s commitment to nurturing local talent from Jammu and Kashmir, underlining the importance of providing opportunities for young players.
RKFC player Mohammad Hammad also voiced concerns about the lack of adequate football infrastructure in Kashmir, despite the region’s potential. He called on local fans to support the team in large numbers during Sunday’s match.
