SRINAGAR, Aug 10: Real Kashmir FC (RKFC) kept their Durand Cup 2025 quarter-final hopes alive with an impressive 3-1 victory over Neroca FC at Imphal, today. Goals from Salam Ranjan Singh, Tareck Koucham and Mohamed Mbengue sealed the crucial win for the Snow Leopards.
With this result, RKFC climbed to second place in Group F with four points, equal to Indian Navy but behind on goal difference. Only the group winners are guaranteed a spot in the quarter-finals, while the two best second-placed teams across all six groups will also qualify.
RKFC’s progression now depends on the outcome of the group’s final match between Indian Navy and TRAU FC. Indian Navy currently lead on goal difference, while TRAU FC sits at the bottom with two points. If TRAU manage a draw or win against Indian Navy, Real Kashmir FC could secure a place in the last eight.
Real Kashmir FC had earlier defeated TRAU FC, displaying similar attacking intensity. Founded to promote football in Jammu and Kashmir, RKFC is owned by Arshad Shawl and coached by former India international Ishfaq Ahmad. The club features a diverse mix of local, national and international talent and has earned a loyal fan following for its inspiring journey and spirited performances.
