Registrar-11 defeats Faculty Youngstar-11

JAMMU, Jan 29: In a thrilling encounter at the Anant Khel-2025 sports meet held at the Central University of Jammu, Registrar-11 triumphed over Faculty Youngstar-11 in an exciting cricket match. The contest drew a large crowd of students, faculty, and staff, creating an electric atmosphere as both teams battled it out.
The 15-over match began with Youngstar-11 winning the toss and opting to bat first. Led by Captain Bhawani Singh, they posted a competitive total of 118 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Registrar-11, captained by Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar, CUJ, and vice-captained by Dr. Rajan Badyal, came out with a bang. Openers Dinesh and Ranjan provided a solid start, but it was Dinesh’s match-winning knock of 50 not out that sealed the victory for Registrar-11. With his remarkable performance, Dinesh was awarded the prestigious Man of the Match title. Registrar-11 chased down the target in just 11 overs, finishing with 119 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, clinching a well-deserved victory.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, extended his congratulations to the winning team and commended the excellent spirit of sportsmanship displayed by both sides, highlighting the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship in the university’s culture.
