Refresher Course for 69th NSG officials begin

JAMMU, July 25: With the 69th National School Games (NSG) on the horizon, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) commenced a 14-day Refresher/Orientation Course for officials in Table Tennis and Wushu at the Sports Training Centre, Nagrota.
The course, involving 103 officials (PETs, PEMs, and PELs) from across Jammu & Kashmir, was inaugurated by Vinakshi Koul, Joint Director, DYSS Jammu, accompanied by Deputy Director Jitender Mishra and DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The refresher aims to enhance officiating standards and event preparedness as DYSS prepares to host NSG competitions in Football, Wushu, Table Tennis and Taekwondo across Srinagar and Jammu.
Six expert Resource Persons have been engaged, with Ram Murti Sharma, ZPEO, appointed as Camp Incharge. Koul highlighted the department’s commitment to training and professional development, calling refresher training essential for improved performance and motivation.
