Real Lona FC retains LAKSH Trophy

JAMMU, Jan 14: Real Lona FC created history by winning the LAKSH (Leh and Kargil Super Heroes) Football Tournament Season 7 and claiming permanent ownership of the prestigious trophy after a hat-trick of consecutive titles. In a thrilling grand finale, Real Lona FC defeated Indus Chuchot FC by 2-1 in a packed stadium, showcasing skill, determination and competitive spirit.
The tournament, organized by Ladakh United Students Sports Association (LUSSA) in collaboration with MEWSL Hostel Jammu, aimed to promote sportsmanship, unity and youth engagement. The finale was graced by Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, G N Tantray, Chairman DOON International School, and Prof. Shujat Khan.
Individual awards went to Abid Ali (Player of the Tournament & Best Striker), Nurbu (Best Goalkeeper), Suhail (Best Midfielder), Mohammad Mussa (Best Defender), Imran Ali (Goal of the Tournament), Kamaal (Emerging Player) and Unified Ladakh won the Fair Play Award.
The tournament also promotes youth welfare, combating drug abuse and excessive screen time through outdoor sports, while fostering unity and healthy competition.
