RCC Srinagar, ACC smash rivals, register berths in next round

JAMMU, Aug 13: RCC Srinagar and Achievers Cricket Club (ACC) smashed rivals in their respective matches and registered berth in the next round of the ongoing KP Cup Cricket Tournament, being played at KC Sports Club.
In the first match, RCC Srinagar registered 8 wickets win over BGCC. Electing to bat first after winning the toss, BGCC made paltry 69 runs by losing all wickets in 17.2 overs. Sushil made 25 runs and Siddharth scored 7 runs.
From RCC Srinagar side, Kuldeep and Praful scalped 3 wickets each, while Deepak took 2 wickets.
In reply, RCC Srinagar chased the target in 5.5 overs by losing 2 wickets. Puneet played well and chipped in half century, while Chander made 9 runs.
From BGCC side, Vishal took one wicket.
Kuldeep of RCC Srinagar was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In the second match, ACC smashed Bharat Cricket Club (BCC) by 28 runs and sailed into next stage of the tournament.
Batting first, ACC made 106 runs by losing all wickets in 18.2 overs. Shubam was the top scorer with 24 runs, while Vijay, Rahul and Akshay made 19, 17 and 13 runs respectively.
From BCC side, Sunny scalped 4 wickets, while Sanjay and Subash took 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, BCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 78 runs for all out in 19.5 overs. Romil and Sanjay made 19 and 15 runs respectively.
From ACC side, Sandeep scalped 3 wickets, while Ronak, King ji and Vijay took 2 wickets each.
Vijay from ACC was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain and Madan as umpires, while Rahul Tickoo maintained the scorecard.
