RCC, KCCC smash opponents in league matches, sail into next stage

JAMMU, June 28: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) and Karam Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) smashed opponents in their respective league matches and sailed into next stage of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup, being played at KC Public School cricket ground here.
The first match of the day was played between Mayank Goswami Cricket Club (MGCA) and Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC).
After winning the toss, MGCA decided to bat first and made 131 runs in 20 overs. Sahil Magotra and Tushar Gupta scored 33 and 28 runs respectively.
From RCC side, Saurav and Ashok took 2 wickets each.
In reply, RCC chased the target of 132 runs in 13 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Satish Kohli scored magnificent 51 runs and Ishan Gupta made 38 runs.
From MGCA side, Sahil and Ankush took 1 wicket each.
Satish Kohli of RCC was declared as man of the match.
The second match was played between Karam Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) and Manorama Friends Cricket Club (MFCC), in which former registered win by 7 wickets.
Batting first after winning the toss, MFCC scored 82 runs for all out in 18.3 overs. Ankit and Naveen made 19 and 10 runs respectively.
From KCCC side, Akash Chaudhary was the pick of the bowler with 5 wickets while Saumya and Raman Dutta took 2 wickets each.
While chasing the target, KCCC finished the match in 6.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Pankaj Ladda played splendid inning of 42 runs off 15 balls, whereas Akash Chaudhary made 23 runs in 10 balls.
For MFCC side, Ankit and Abhi scalped 1 wicket apiece.
Akash Chaudhary of KCCC was adjudged as man of the match for his all round performance.
Westside coupons worth Rs 500 were presented to the players, who got man of the match titles.
