RAMBAN, Oct 27: Ramban District Fencing Association, in collaboration with J&K Fencing Association (JKFA), organized the 7th District Ramban Fencing Championship at Community Hall, Banihal.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 150 boys and girls who displayed remarkable talent and competitive spirit. Senior Journalist Taskeen Ahmed graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Shadab Wani, President Traders Federation Banihal, Chenab Valley Farming Manager Zubair Ahmed, and DDC member Bashir Ahmed were present as guests of honour. Kewal Singh, Owner of City Clinic and Diagnostic Center, Bakshi Nagar Jammu, attended the event as special guest and sponsor.
In the U-12 boys category, Haziq Imtyaz bagged gold, followed by Ayan Latief with silver, while the bronze medals were secured by Rajan Reyaz and Sahib Mushtaq. In the U-14 girls section, Adeeba clinched gold, Rohana Shiyaz took silver, and the bronze medals were shared by Adeena Asif and Nazima Rehman.
The U-14 boys event saw Toffeeq Fayaz securing the top podium, with Suhaib Nisar winning silver and Mustafa as well as Muneeb Ahmed winning bronze. In the junior boys category, Raqib Khan emerged as the gold medalist, while Faizan Sohil finished with silver and the bronze medals went to Rashid and Mehjoor Sohil.
