JAMMU, June 5: Rakesh Kumar from Jammu & Kashmir UT delivered an impressive performance at the National Powerlifting Championship (Equipped & Unequipped) and National Deadlift Championship (Unequipped, all categories) held at Rohini, Delhi.
Organised by the Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF), the Championship witnessed participation from top lifters across India. Rakesh Kumar stood out by winning one Gold Medal and one Bronze Medal across different categories, showcasing strength, skill and determination.
His achievement was lauded by Anuradha Gupta, Controller of the Legal Metrology Department, J&K Government, who praised his dedication and applauded his success at the national level.
Rakesh’s performance brings pride to the UT and reflects the growing interest and potential in powerlifting among youth in Jammu & Kashmir.
