JAMMU, Jan 23: Rakesh Kumar of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory delivered a stellar performance at the Subrata Classic Full Powerlifting and Deadlift National Championship 2026, organized by the Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF), held at Haridwar from January 17 to 21.
Competing against top athletes from across the country, Rakesh Kumar showcased exceptional strength and determination by winning three gold medals and one silver medal in different categories. His remarkable achievement brought pride to Jammu & Kashmir UT and highlighted his dedication to the sport of powerlifting. The outstanding performance was highly appreciated by Kaustav Dutta, General Secretary of Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF) and Rahul Shukla, Joint Secretary of IPF, who congratulated Rakesh Kumar for his discipline, hard work, and contribution to Indian powerlifting.
