RAMNAGAR, Sept 13: Rajesh of 9th class was adjudged best speaker at a symposium contest on the topic “Education: a Key to Success” organized by Tehsil Information Center, Ramnagar in the premises of Govt. High School, Dehari of tehsil Ramnagar here today.
Headmaster of the host school, Sundri Rani was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the contest, Mukesh Sharma of 10th class and Rahul Sharma of 8th class secured second and third positions respectively while Ashq Ali of 10th class and Atual Sharma of 9th class were given consolation prizes in the contest.
While speaking on the occasion chief guest appreciated the efforts of Information Department to hold such contest in the school. She said that such type of contest would definitely provide a platform to budding student to channelize their talent in right direction. She urged for holding more such programmes in educational institutions for the general awareness of youngsters.
Among other, District Information Officers, Udhampur, Dr. Jagdish Mehra, Incharge Information Center, Ramnagar, Rakesh Kumar, staff member and students of the school were present on the occasion.
Anita Gutpa, Nazira Wani and Monika Shangal acted as judges while Madan Lal conducted the proceeding of the programme.
On the occasion a film show was also organized by the department on education in India, Evolution of its values which was witnessed by over 250 students of different classes.
