Rajasthan dominates 2nd Federation Cup Lacrosse C’ship

KATRA, Dec 7: The 2nd Federation Cup Lacrosse Championship 2025 concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra, after three days of spirited competition and exemplary sportsmanship.
The championship, organised by J&K Lacrosse Association under the aegis of the Lacrosse Association of India, witnessed participation from 15 States including Gujarat, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Delhi, and J&K. Around 280 male and female players showcased talent, discipline and passion.
In the Men’s Section, Rajasthan emerged as champion, with Gujarat as runners-up, while Haryana and Andhra Pradesh shared the third position. In the Women’s Section, Rajasthan again clinched the title, followed by Haryana as runners-up, and Assam and Chhattisgarh sharing third place.
The final award ceremony was graced by MLA Katra, Baldev Raj Sharma, as chief guest, along with senior officials and office bearers of Lacrosse India. Winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies and medals. The proceedings were conducted by Sports Analyst Dr. Riyaz Veeri, while CEO J&K Lacrosse Association Farooq Salroo thanked media and other agencies for their support.
The event also saw the presence of CEO Lacrosse India Towseef Ahmad Lari, Joint Secretaries Athar Lari, Rajesh Turan, Aslam Warsi and other dignitaries who congratulated the players on a successful championship.
