Rain halts play in Jammu; DPS, RPS, JKCA Leopards dominate in Srinagar

JAMMU, July 23: Rain forced a complete washout of scheduled matches in Jammu during the JKCA U-14 Boys Inter-School Cricket Tournament, while the competition in Srinagar moved ahead with strong wins from Delhi Public School Srinagar, RP School, and JKCA Leopards.
At Doon School Ground, RP School secured a six-wicket win over Leeds International Academy. Penalized five overs for late arrival, Leeds posted 136/7 in 20 overs, with Hashim scoring 34. RP School’s Furqan Showket and Imaan took two wickets each. In response, Furqan remained unbeaten on 81 as RP School chased down the target in 16 overs. He was named Player of the Match.
JKCA Leopards delivered a commanding performance, defeating Doon School by 89 runs. Batting first, the Leopards posted 171/4, powered by a brilliant 65 from Anas bin Arshid. Doon School managed only 82 runs in reply, with Moomin picking up two wickets. Anas was awarded Player of the Match for his explosive innings.
In another match, Delhi Public School Srinagar overcame Foundation World School by 25 runs. DPS posted 107/3 in 10 overs, with Rohaan scoring an unbeaten 43 and Rafid adding 27. Azam claimed three wickets, Labeeb two, and Rohaan one, helping restrict Foundation to 82. Rohaan was named Player of the Match.
