JAMMU, June 28: A quiz competition was held at Shri Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre, New Plot in which 6 teams participated with each team having three participants.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Ram Lal, retd Principal.
Kuldeep Verma, former VC OBC Advisory was the chief guest, who said that quiz programmes are important and such events related with education are very useful for the upliftment of the society as it helps the students for their future and should be organized on mass level.
On the occasion, RL Chargotra, Vice President, Akhil Bhartiya Vishwakarma Maha Sabha, New Delhi and Dr Sat Pal, former Special Secretary were guests of honour.
The quiz master BR Kataria and Shashi Verma conducted the proceedings of the event.
Team F comprising of Himanti, Karan and Rittul Dhiman emerged winner, whereas Team C comprising of Rajan, Nidhi Dalmotra and Sitanshu Jaral stood second. The third position was secured by Team B comprising of Ruhi Virdi, Diksha Verma and Ila Verma.
Cash prizes of Rs 1500, Rs 900 and Rs 600 along with mementoes and certificates were presented to top three rank holders respectively. All the participants were also awarded with mementoes and certificates.
Earlier, Arun Jaral presented the welcome address, whereas Joginder Angotra and Charanjeet Bitta presented vote of thanks.
Janak Raj Changotra acted as scorer during the quiz competition.
Among others present were Vijay Kumar, Vinod Jaral, Rajinder Kumar, Sham Chargotra, Rattan Lal, Sanjay Chalotra, Om Parkash Kataria and Raman Chalotra.
