Preet Nagar CC clinches Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Apr 29: The final match of the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Tournament concluded in grand style at MA Stadium, Jammu, with Preet Nagar Cricket Club defeating Trikuta Cricket Club to lift the coveted trophy. Organized under the theme “Say No to Drugs,” the tournament aimed to promote positive youth engagement and raise awareness about drug abuse.
The tournament, inaugurated by Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, attracted wide participation and community support. The final began with a two-minute silence in memory of the victims of Pahalgam terror attack.
Satish Sharma, Minister for Sports, was the chief guest, while other dignitaries included Sajjad Shaheen (MLA Banihal), Er. Khurshid (MLA), Satwant Kour Dogra and Rakesh Singh Raka, who distributed awards and trophies.
Man of the Match was awarded to Rohit Sharma, while Arjun Singh was declared Man of the Series. Best Batsman went to Abhishek Verma, and Best Bowler was Ravinder Singh. Umpires, scorers, and ground staff were also felicitated for their contributions. Chief Organizer Tejinder Pal Singh Aman, thanked the teams, supporters, and administration, reaffirming commitment to future youth-driven events.
