Pre-legal aid, legal literacy camp held

JAMMU, Apr 6: Dogra Law College, Bari Brahmana, organized pre-legal aid and legal literacy camp today.
Advocate Sheikh Shakeel, was the guest of honour and chief resource person, who delivered thought provoking lecture on Accountability Commission Act and Right to Information Act. He gave demonstration by citing the relevance of these two laws which have empowered the common man.
Dr Monica Narang, Associate Prof, The Law School, University of Jammu, delivered an educative lecture on Legal Aid, Legal Literacy and J&K Legal Service Authority Act.
AV Gupta, senior Advocate, J&K High Court being Chairperson of the session highlighted the aspects of the professional ethics and relevance of arbitration, negotiation and reconciliation and plea-bargaining the process of adjudication in cases and speedy administration of civil and criminal justice.
Prof VK Kapoor, Director cum Principal, Dogra Law College presented vote of thanks.
Vineet Dubey, senior Camp Commander, Monika Kohli Camp Commander and Anubha Sharma, senior Lecturer, were also present.
