JAMMU, Mar 8: The selection trials for Powerlifting, Bench Press and Deadlift (Men & Women – Unequipped) for the upcoming National Powerlifting Championships 2026 were conducted today by J&K UT Youth Powerlifting Association.
The selected athletes will represent the Union Territory in the National Powerlifting Championships scheduled to be held in Agra from April 2 to 4. A large number of powerlifting athletes from different districts participated enthusiastically in the trials. The event witnessed impressive performances in various weight categories, reflecting the growing popularity of powerlifting in the region.
Officials of the association appreciated the dedication and hard work of the athletes and wished the selected lifters success at the national level. They also thanked the coaches, officials, and supporters who contributed to the successful conduct of the trials. The event was organized by JK UT Youth Powerlifting Association, which is affiliated with the Powerlifting Sports Organisation.
