Poonch Taekwondo Club shines at National C’ship

POONCH, Jan 28: Poonch Taekwondo Club brought laurels by winning medals at the 2nd Federation Cup Taekwondo Championship and Kids Champion of Champions (COC) held at Jaipur, Rajasthan. The prestigious event was organised by India Taekwondo and recognised by World Taekwondo and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.
Lakshay Toshkhani clinched a gold medal, while Aekta Kapoor and Paqiza Irshad secured bronze medals, competing against top players from across the country. All medallists represented Jammu & Kashmir under the banner of the Taekwondo Association of Jammu & Kashmir (TAJK).
The remarkable success is credited to the dedicated efforts and expert coaching of Rajinder Singh, whose consistent training and motivation have produced national-level performers. On their return, the medal winners and coach were accorded a warm reception by civil society, parents and sports enthusiasts, marking a proud moment for Poonch and J&K UT.
