KATHUA, Sept 19: J&K Police Kathua, under its Civic Action Programme, organized a volleyball tournament at GHSS Durang under Police Station Billawar, with the objective of promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and constructive engagement among youth.
The event held under the guidance of SSP Kathua Shobhit Saksena witnessed the participation of eight local teams competing in a spirit of enthusiasm and fair play. The final match was played between Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Billawar and Lakhri Volleyball Club, in which GHSS Billawar emerged as the winner.
SP Operations Billawar, Aumer Iqbal, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while SDPO Billawar, Neeraj Padyar and SHO Police Station Billawar, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, were also present. The winners and participants were presented trophies and certificates, encouraging them to excel further in sports.
