Police holds Volleyball tourney

RAJOURI, Feb 18: In an effort to strengthen the bond between the police and the public, the Range Police Headquarters Rajouri organized a Volleyball tournament at District Police Lines Rajouri under the Civic Action Programme. The event has drawn participation from 12 teams across district Rajouri.
The tournament was inaugurated by Tejinder Singh, DIG RP Range Headquarters Rajouri. The inaugural ceremony was attended by senior officers including Gaurav Sikarwar, SSP Rajouri, Vinay Gadge, Bikram Kumar, Additional SP Rajouri, Satish Kumar, DySP Headquarters Rajouri, Akshay Khajuria, DySP DAR DPL Rajouri and Pawar Sharma, (DySP) SO to DIG RP Range.
DIG emphasized the importance of sports in building character, promoting physical fitness and engaging the youth in positive activities. He also highlighted the tournament’s role in steering young minds away from negative influences like drug abuse.
The tournament is part of the ongoing efforts by the police to engage with the community, promote unity and foster camaraderie between the police and citizens.
