JAMMU, Mar 30: After catching them young and coaching them, Sehwag Cricket Academy has taken an initiative to provide match practice to its trainees by participating in prestigious cricket tournament at Delhi from April 1 to April 6, 2015.
The players of the Academy are going to participate in this Junior Pitch (Under-14) cricket tournament, which will witness the participation of about 20 teams drawn from all over the Country, mostly from the States from North Zone.
“I am very excited to play in Delhi, where we will get the opportunity to compete with the teams of high calibre”, said one of the members of the team on the condition of anonymity.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sehwag Cricket Academy was opened in Jammu Heritage School by the Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag and Son of the Soil and Chennai Superkings starrer Mithun Manhas last year.
The Academy, which has an extended tie-up with the Australian, South African and English Cricket Academies for regular exchange programmes, is being run at the Heritage School grounds in Jammu.
With this initiative, the budding cricketers of Jammu will enjoy a life time opportunity to interact and play at the International venues exposing them to global arenas.
Principal of Heritage School has expressed his gratitude to the Management of the Academy for providing the School with the opportunity of exploring and nurturing the budding talent.
