JAMMU, Dec 7: The 2-day 2nd J&K State Petanque Championship, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Petanque Association, under the aegis of Petanque Federation of India concluded at KC International School, here.
Chaitanya Chowdhary, Vice Chairman of the School was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Ravi Bhushan, Principal of KCIS and Subhash Sharma, vice president, Jammu and Kashmir Petanque Association were the guests of honour.
The Championship was conducted under the supervision of Tarsem Sharma, organizing secretary.
Around 160 students drawn from various districts, schools and clubs participated in the Championship.
Detailed results:
Team event Under-11 boys: Harmandeep Singh, Aryan and Bhagyesh Koul emerged winners, while Paras, Smarth, Owais and Ritanshu claimed 1st runners-up title and the 2nd runners-up were Sharan, Arkit and Atharv.
Team event Under-14 boys: Asrahy, Deekshant, Rahat won 1st place, while Tahir, Shahnawz Shreef and Prashant won 1st runners-up title and Aditya, Saksham, Rohit and Sparsh claimed 2nd runners-up title.
Team event Under-17 boys: Winners-Shoaib Shawl, Danish Gupta and Akshit;
1st runner-up-Nipun Gandhi, Vishavajeet Singh and Harseerat Singh.
Team event Under-11 girls: Winners-Dhanya, Kaashmi and Milagros; runners-up-Priya, Chahat and Muskan.
Team event Under-14 girls: Winners-Riya, Mumtaz and Nikita; 1st runners-up- Vidhushi, Sneh and Khushi; 2nd runner-up-Mrinmmay, Shriya and Shivani
Doubles Under-14 boys: Winners-Syed Mehdi and Mehdi Muzaffer; 1st runners-up-Yujutsu Sharma and Divjot Singh; 2nd runners-up-Tanish, Karan.
Doubles Under-17 boys: Winners-Shoaib Shawl and Umar Dar; 1st runner-up- Bhavik and Deepak; 2nd runners-up-Kaushal Garg and Danish Sharma.
Mixed doubles: Winners-Sanath Sareen and Aakriti and runners-up-Manzoor Ahmed and/ Poonam Thakur.
