JAMMU, Dec 7: Pathania Cricket Club (PCC) lifted the Winter Cup T20 Cricket tournament title by defeating Narayana Cricket Club (NCC) by 31 runs at MA Stadium, here today.
M M Mathavan, Facility Director SMVD Narayana Super speciality Hospital was the chief guest, whereas RS Pathania senior leader BJP was guest of honour in the tournament, which was an initiative of SMVD Narayana Health Katra and J&K Sports Council under ‘My Youth My Pride’.
PCC captain Arjun won the toss and elected to bat first and managed to score 127 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Vivek and Raj scored 28 & 27 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Rahul Jamwal & Rahul Dutta took 2 wickets each and Ajeet & Vinay shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, NCC could not chase the set target due to losing wickets at regular intervals. Brilliant bowling spells by Sujal, Raj and Asad taking 2 wickets each followed by Rohit Tarun and Ranjit taking 1 wicket each NCC bundled out at 96 runs and PCC won the match by 31 runs.
Raj Sharma was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance, whereas Rahul Jamwal was declared as man of the series in the tournament.
