JAMMU, Feb 11: J&K’s Ranji trophy quarter-final match remains on a knife-edge as the partnership between skipper Paras Dogra and wicketkeeper-batter Kanhaiya Wadhawan, along with a crucial spell by speedster Yudhvir Singh, brought them back into contention at MCA Cricket Stadium Gahunje, Pune.
Resuming at 181/3, J&K’s 5th wicket partnership of 146 runs lifted the team to 399/9, setting Kerala a daunting target of 399. Paras scored a brilliant 132 off 232 balls, while Kanhaiya contributed 64 runs off 216 balls. Other contributions came from Sahil Lotra (59), Vivrant Sharma (37), Nasir Lone (28), and Yudhvir Singh (27*).
Kerala, chasing 399, ended Day 4 at 100/2, with Yudhvir claiming both wickets to fall. The match remains delicately poised; with J&K slightly ahead at 60-40, but Kerala’s 1-run first-innings lead could prove crucial.
