JAMMU, July 11: With an aim to give fillip to sports and games in Jammu province, the Panthers Sports Council (PSC) has been constituted, under the chairmanship of Prof Bhim Singh at the National Panthers Party (NPP) headquarters, here today.
State Level players in different sports disciplines have been given berth in the Council.
Vikas Gupta was nominated chairman, Moon Stephen as vice-chairman.
Ranbir Singh was named general secretary and Alok Kumar as joint secretary.
Bankush Langar will be the coordination secretary and Rameshvar Singh as executive secretary.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed chairman of PSC felt concerned over the deteriorating condition of the MA stadium, hike of entry fee and discrimination meted out to the players of Jammu province.
Harsh Dev Singh, MLA and chairman NPP was named patron of the Council.
He briefed the executive committee to take up the issues pertaining to the sportsmen and popularize sports among the youth.
