SAMBA, May 24: Wrestler Pamma from Dera Baba Nanak Punjab defeated Wrestler Rohit and lifted the title of Gho-Brahmana Kesari Dangal, which was held at Bawa Lakshaman Jatti Gho Brahmana, Ramgarh.
In the second bout, Kaka from Dera Baba Nanak Punjab thrashed Zakir from Sarore, whereas the third bout between Pather from Punjab and Bhottu from Sarore remained equal.
The winner (Wrestler Pamma) was honoured with cash prize of Rs 21,000 and Gurj.
On the occasion, Mahant Girdhari Nath from Bawa Sidh Goria Nath was chief guest while Sarpanchs Rampal Sharma and Kamal Sangral were guest of honours.
Organiser of the competition Mela Ram said that about 80 bouts were held in this Dangal in which the wrestlers not only from Jammu and Kashmir but also from other states took part.
Others, who extended their help for the smooth conduct of the competition were Sham Lal, Dev Raj, Raj Kumar, Babbu, Darshan Lal, etc.
