UDHAMPUR, Nov 20: It was the 2nd day today of the ongoing 5-Day Refresher/ Orientation Course for PETs/ReKs of district Udhampur being organised under the patronage of Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K and under the chairmanship of Saloni Rai, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur with meticulous supervision of DYSSO Udhampur, Romesh Chander Mishra.
Pushpinder Kour, ZPEO Tikri who is overall incharge of the Orientation course emphasized the significance of continuous learning and skill enhancement for Physical Education staff.
Morning started with assembly exercises by Ajit Singh, PEM and Yoga session was conducted by Som Dev Khajuria, PEM.
Ravinder Manhas, Lecturer Physical Education gave a detailed presentation on Sports Injury Therapy and physical fitness strategies to the trainees whereas Raj Kumar, PEM and Raman Kumar, PEM imparted practical training of marking athletics ground as per SGFI guidelines and Rakesh Kumar, PEM gave a lecture on Kabaddi.
Collective efforts of all experts engaged stimulated the minds of trainees with an opportunity to reflect on the teaching methods to use these effectively in the classroom as well as in the field to promote skilful learning among students.
