SAMBA, June 6: The IQAC Cell of Dogra Law College, Dogra Degree College, and Dogra College of Education, under the aegis of Dogra Educational Trust, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Jammu City, organized an Awareness Seminar on Organ and Tissue Donation. The event aimed to inform and inspire students to support this vital humanitarian cause.
The programme was presided over by Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust and President of Dogra Sadar Sabha. Shivangi Gupta, President, Rotary Club Jammu City, expressed her gratitude to the Trust and envisioned future collaborations for social welfare. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges and Principal, Dogra Degree College, who stressed the need for awareness about organ donation.
Anshu Sharma, Consultant (IEC Media), SOTTO J&K, delivered the keynote presentation, highlighting the medical, ethical, and societal importance of organ donation. Simran, Youth President, Rotary Club Jammu, encouraged students to join future initiatives.
Distinguished Rotarians present included Sanjeev Vaid, Amit Gupta, Sham Kishore Sundan, Arvind Kotwal, Nirmal Mahna, K.K. Sharma and Jyoti Gupta. Also in attendance were Dr. Samardev Singh Charak, Dr. Jay Prakash Srivastava, Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, faculty and students. The event was anchored by Mannat Angral and concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dharamveer Sharma.
