JAMMU, Dec 8: Odisha managed to score 250 runs for the loss of 8 wickets against Jammu and Kashmir at the draw of stumps on day-1 of the 4-day match of the Cooch Behar Under-19 Cricket Tournament at Sunshine Ground, Cuttack in Odisha, today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Odisha rode on a handsome opening partnership of 84 runs between Das and Partik Tripathi to manage 250 runs in the day’ play, losing 8 wickets in the process. Das contributed 42 runs with 7 boundaries, while Tripathi made 41 runs, while Ankit Yadav was the top scorer with 49 runs off 71 balls, studded with 11 delectable boundaries. For J&K, speedster Rohit Sharma bagged 3 wickets by conceding 70 runs in his 27 overs, while Aquib Nazir claimed 2 wickets in in 15 overs by giving away 41 runs. Omar Nazir and Sidharth Magotra claimed one wicket each. Odisha batsmen applied themselves almost to a perfection and scored 250 runs in 90 overs played today.
