JAMMU, June 19: Nowshera Club defeated Seven Star Club by 5-3 goals and lifted the title trophy of the first Pritpal Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament, organized by Nowshera Hockey Association.
Sourav Damral was adjudged as Man of the Match for netting 3 goals and Bhukesh was declared as Man of the Tournament for scoring 12 goals.
On the valedictory function, SDPO Nowshera was the chief guest, while Jalaj Chaudhary, youth leader was guest of honour, who awarded the winner and runner-up teams and others. SHO Nowshera Inspector Krishan Kumar was also present on the occasion.
While speaking, SDPO, youth leader and others advised the participants to stay away from drugs and promote sports in their respective areas.
In the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Rakesh Choudhary.
The match was officiated by Kuldeep Singh and Romy Choudhary.
The tournament was organized by JK Hockey under the supervision of Amarjeet Nagyal.
