NIS Club lifts Kho-Kho title

JAMMU, Oct 1: Defeating Parivartan Club in a close contest in a summit clash, NIS Club lifted the title trophy of the Jammu District Kho-kho Championship, organised by J&K Kho-Kho Association at Green Field ground, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Skipper Pankaj Malhotra was the star performer for NIS Club, while Sunil Sharma, Sahil, Prashant, Sandeep, Harsh, Huny and Yogesh also played well.
The final score was (21-20) in favour of NIS Club. From Parivartan Palbinder, Raaj and Jagdev showed good skills.
In women’s section, SAI Club defeated NIS Club (7-4) to lift women’s trophy as Kashu, Ambika and Richa played well for SAI Club.
President J&K Kho-Kho Association, S. Manmeet Singh was the chief guest on the concluded function, who appreciated the players for showing sportsman spirit and discipline during the tournament. He also lauded the efforts of Treasurer KKFI BS Tirthi and coaches Ajay Gupta and Dheeraj Sharma.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Amrinder Singha and Vishal Malhotra.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were General Secretary Harjeet Singh, Mahesh Abrol, Tarmeet Sheenu, Rohit Tidyal (Prosecution Officer) and Raahi Jamwal.
