JAMMU, Jan 31: Nikita Thakur, daughter of Prem Singh, a student of Class 7th of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu is simply on a roll in the discipline of roller skating.
The ace skater bagged two medals with one gold and one silver in the Road Race and Time Trials of the 58th National School Games Roller Skating Championship held at Delhi recently.
The gritty and gutsy skater, who has been shining in this discipline of sports from last three years, also bagged three medals with two gold and one bronze in the Roller Skating Championship held under the auspices of Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) recently.
Apart from these recent achievements, Nikita has the distinction of claiming silver medal in National School Games at Delhi in the year 2010, 3 silver medal in National Skating Championship under RSFI at Visakhapatnam in the same year and one bronze medal in RSFI at Bangaluru in the year 2011-12.
Apart from land mark achievements in the filed of roller skating, Nikita is bright in academies also.
