NEXAS holds AGM 2025, sets ambitious agenda for alumni growth

JAMMU, Oct 19: The Sainik School Nagrota Ex-Students Association (NEXAS) convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 at the University of Jammu, reflecting on the past two years’ achievements and setting a clear roadmap for the future.
The session, presided over by the Management Committee comprising President Brig Gurmeet Singh Shan, Vice President Hardeep Singh, Treasurer Puneet Gupta and General Secretary Sanjay Jena, witnessed enthusiastic participation from alumni spanning multiple batches. The gathering included prominent personalities from the armed forces, civil services, police, medical, engineering, and business sectors, all committed to advancing the association’s mission.
Key milestones highlighted included the formalisation of the NEXAS Trust, successful membership drives across batches, the creation of a Batch Leaders Body to enhance intra-alumni coordination and the launch of the official NEXAS website and connectivity app.
Looking ahead, the committee focused on establishing regional chapters to foster deeper alumni engagement, formalising nomination processes for disciplinary and other committees and initiating preparations for the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebrations-a landmark event for the association.
Additional priorities include expanding leadership diversity, setting up a physical office and rolling out mentorship and engagement programs, reaffirming NEXAS’s commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and community building.
