Jammu, Dec. 25:New Rising Stars and Road Safety Department registered their empathetic win against their opponents and entered in the next stage of “AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship”which is being jointly organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu, Christian Sports Organization Jammu and supported by American Oncology Institute, Horizon Group of Companies, KC Sports Club& Parade Sports Association Jammu.
In the first match, New Rising stars defeated KC Sports Academy by 10 wickets. Batting first KC Cricket Academy scored 94 runs for all wickets in 17.5 overs with Sidharth 39 and Lakshaya 14 runs.
From bowling side Shamshudin,Sunny,Neeraj and Mohit took 2 wickets each.
In reply New Rising Stars chased the target in 9.5 overs without losing any wicket thus won the match by 10 wickets. Mukul was the main batsman who scored unbeaten 74 runs in 34 balls with 5 fours and 7 sixes. Surya also contributed 13 runs. Mukul was adjudged as Man of the match.
In the second match, Road & Safety Department defeated W. Cricket Club by 7 wickets.
Batting first WCC scored 140 for the loss of all wickets in 19.4 overs with Rohit 25 runs, Viraj 21 and Rajesh 17 were the main scorer.
From bowling side Vinay took 4 wickets, Rompy took 3 wickets .
In reply Road & Safety Department chased the target in 16.5 overs for the loss of 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Ishtiaq 78 runs with 8 fours and 2 sixes and Majit 28 runs were the main scorer.
From bowling side Rajesh, Billu and Akshay took 1 wicket each. Ishtiaq declared man of the match.
In tommorow’s fixture Raja Warriors will take on Krishna Club Akhnoor and AOI/ASCOMS XI will clash with Christian Sports Organization.
