JAMMU, Sept 12: Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura (Mishriwala) hosted a significant visit from Brigadier PS Cheema, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Jammu. He was accompanied by Commanding Officer Colonel Munish Jasrotia and Administrative Officer Colonel Yash Chhibber.
The visit began with an impressive guard of honour presented by the cadets of 2 J&K Girls Battalion and 2 J&K Boys Battalion. In her welcome address, ANO Lt Kusha Sharma highlighted the achievements of the NCC cadets at the college since its inception.
Brigadier Cheema emphasized the core values of the NCC, including unity, discipline, and commitment. He encouraged cadets to strive for excellence in all areas of life. The event also featured a rank ceremony where Brigadier Cheema conferred new ranks upon cadets. The program was coordinated by Cadet Janshi and Cadet Shruti Sharma, under the guidance of ANO Lt Kusha Sharma and ANO Lt Arun Sharma, and the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Kulvinder Kour.
