JAMMU, Jan 20: The NCC Senior Wing (SW) Cadets of GGM Science College, Jammu, have brought laurels to the college and NCC fraternity through their remarkable achievements.
The 8 J&K Girls Battalion, under the inspiring guidance of Prof (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of GGM Science College and the dedicated supervision of Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Dr Shafia Saleem, has recorded notable success at the national level.
Senior Under Officer (SUO) Archita Verma and Ex-Cadet Kushi Motten have secured prestigious appointments as Constable (General Duty) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), showcasing their hard work, discipline and rigorous NCC training. Their selection reflects the strong foundation laid by the NCC unit in grooming cadets for service to the nation.
Adding further distinction, Junior Under Officer (JUO) Mehul Verma was honoured with the coveted Additional Director General’s Certificate of Excellence and Medal for her outstanding all-round performance in various spheres of NCC training.
Prof (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta expressed deep satisfaction over the cadets’ stellar achievements and lauded the tireless efforts of ANO Dr Shafia Saleem and the leadership of the 8 J&K Girls Battalion. He stated that these accomplishments highlight the discipline, dedication and training ethos of the NCC unit.
Earlier, Commanding Officer Col Muneesh Jasrotia congratulated the cadets for their perseverance and commitment. ANO Dr Shafia Saleem also expressed pride in the cadets, emphasizing holistic development and disciplined training. The NCC Girls Wing of GGM Science College congratulated the successful cadets, their parents and mentors, and wished them success in their future endeavours.
