Jammu, Aug 27: Navyug Hr. Sec. School celebrated Raksha Bandan-promise of love and everlasting relationship between brother and sister in the School premises, here today.
To commemorate this festival a “Rakhi” making competition was organised. Children participated with great enthusiasm and exhibited their creative skills by using different material like stars, colourful flowers, sparkles & different waste material.
About 120 girls students from class -III to Class-IX participated and showcased their creativity by making designer ‘Rakhi’ for the competition. Traditional ‘Rakhi’ designs were the major attraction of the competition.
In Sub Junior group : Numanika, Komal and Riya Gupta bagged 1st , 2nd and 3 rd Prize whereas Mriganka and Sarveshwari got Consolation prize
In Junior group : 1sr prize went to Deeshikha whereas Nikiya and Poonam got 2nd and 3rd prize. Vanshikha and Sehaj got Consolation prize.
In senior group : 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize went to Mansi , Manisha and Sana . Kajal , vanshika and Anandika got consolation prizes.
Latter on an exhibition of the “Rakhis” was also displayed for the students and their parents which were highly appreciated. Principal Preetika jamwal lauded the efforts of the students and said that every child is born with a talent and the school management will do its best to nuture their talent.
