Nasir selected for India Volleyball Camp

JAMMU, Sept 1: In a momentous achievement, Nasir Ajaz Sofi, a promising volleyball player from Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, has earned a coveted spot in the India Volleyball Camp organized by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). The camp will identify top talent for the upcoming International Volleyball Championship in China.
Nasir was selected among 23 probables from a pool of 192 players representing 27 affiliate units across India, based on his stellar performance and exceptional spiking skills.
Recognized as one of J&K’s brightest volleyball prospects, Nasir played a key role in helping the J&K U-14 Boys team qualify for the 67th National School Games, laying the foundation for this achievement. Coaches Naresh Kumar and Azhar Aziz Raina praised his dedication and international potential.
Director General Youth Services and Sports, Anuradha Gupta, congratulated Nasir, calling him an inspiration for youth across the Union Territory. “You’ve made J&K proud with your exceptional talent,” she remarked.
