Jammu, Dec 17: MV International School marked its 13th Annual Day celebration ‘Zest-2017’ with great zeal and enthusiasm at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium today.  Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary (R&B) graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Sheetal Nanda, DC Samba was the guest of honour along with special guests, Lt Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal, ace Mountaineer from District Samba, Nishith Kumar Shil, Regional Passport Officer Jammu and Krupali Singh, Arjuna Awardee (Gymnastics).
Vijay Gupta, and Sekhar Banotra from 91.9 FM were also present on the occasion.
Chairman MVIS, Hira Lal Abrol, Director Gourav Abrol along with eminent citizens of District Samba and parents graced the occasion.
Director, MVIS shared the journey of MV International School with the audience and presented the Welcome Address.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and invocation to the Almighty by a ‘Sarv Dharm Prarthana’.
The cultural program was the mixture of events.
‘Western Brew’ of classes 1st and 2nd was a treat with the Jaksons of MVIS rocking on the stage.
The goan ‘ Maria Pitache’ of classes 3rd & 4th; ‘Sadabahar Zaika’ by the toddlers of Nursery; informative and motivating ‘Nukkad’ by performers of class 9th and the enactment of the story ‘Frozen’ by LKG and UKG mesmerized the audiences by their classic performances. Horrifying act by ‘Walking Shadows’ of class 5th; ‘Lakshay Bhedhan’ by theatre artists of class 3rd; ‘Naman’ by class 5th; ‘Kaal Beliya’ by students of Healthy India, Stronger India; ‘Tapping of the tunes of Russia, America & Korea’ by the students of class 7th & 8th added hues to the show.
Sports Dangal; Musical Commingle; and ‘Dhamaka Mittran Da’ were the performances in the grand finale.
School Principal, KL Dogra, presented the Annual Report.
Meritorious performers of Classes 10th & 12th were rewarded for their exclusive results in CBSE Examinations.
The Supremes House lifted Rolling Trophy for being the Best House in CCA and the Victors House won the Rolling Trophy for Best House in Sports Events for the session 2017-18. Students with 100 percent attendance were honoured with mementos; select teachers were also acknowledged for their work.
Chief guest, guest of honour and the special guests gave away prizes to the meritorious performers in academics and sports.
