JAMMU, Nov 12: The Youth Welfare Department of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, in association with Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura (near Chandigarh), is set to organize the 10th Inter-Zonal Youth Festival on November 17–18 at the Aryans Campus.
Around 25 colleges affiliated with MRSPTU will participate, with nearly 5,000 students showcasing their talents in various cultural and literary competitions.
The festival will be graced by Harpal Singh Cheema, Finance Minister, Punjab; Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Vice Chancellor, MRSPTU; Gurlal Singh, MLA, Ghanaur; Neena Mittal, MLA, Rajpura; Shashi Prabha (DGP); Ramvir; Varun Sharma (SSP); Karon Gilhotra; Acharya Manish; Gurvinder Singh Sodhi (PCS); Rakesh Kumar Popli; Dr. Rupesh Singh; Adv. Harpreet Singh Sandhu; and PJ Singh. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, will preside over the function.
The theme of the youth fest, “Virsa te Vikas,” symbolizes the fusion of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage with the progressive spirit of today’s youth. The two-day event will feature competitions in music, dance, theatre, fine arts and literary activities, highlighting creativity and talent among students.
