Mohd Shafi Bhat elected as prez of Soft Tennis Association

SRINAGAR, Aug 17: The General Body elections of Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Soft Tennis Association was conducted here today at Gindun Sports Stadium Rajbagh under the supervision of monitoring committee members nominated by the J&K Sports Council wherein Mohd Shafi Bhat has been elected as president of the Association.
Manzoor Ahmad, Sarfaraz Khan and Sameer Ahmad Shah have been elected as senior vice president and vice presidents respectively, whereas Dr Ghulam Hassan was appointed as general secretary and Rashid Aslam and Asif Altaf were nominated as joint secretaries besides Sheeraz Ahmad has been elected as treasurer.
Moreover, Fancy Jan, Abdul Rashid Malik, Mohammad Shafi Ganaie, Indu Bhushan, Najmeen Sofi and Firdous Ahmad were nominated as executive members and Advocate Omera Farooq has been elected as legal advisor of the Association.
The elections were conducted for a term of four years (2021-25) in which all members from different districts of J&K attended the election process. The whole elections were conducted as per the fresh guidelines, rules and regulations of J&K Sports Council, a recognized sports body of J&K Government.
The elections were conducted under the supervision of MA Chashoo, Senior Advocate, who was nominated as Returning Officer by the J&K Sports Council for monitoring of election with assistance of Maqsood Ahmad Khan, Assistant Manager SKISC Srinagar.
