RAJOURI, Oct 26: The much-awaited AK Badyal Memorial Rajouri Super League (RSL) Season 4 commenced with grandeur at the Sports Stadium, Rajouri, attracting players, dignitaries, and cricket enthusiasts from across the district.
The tournament was inaugurated by MLA Rajouri, Iftkhar Ahmed, who cut the ceremonial ribbon and paid tribute to Late A.K. Badyal for his immense contribution to nurturing young sporting talent. He also appreciated the efforts of organisers Dr. Ehsan ul Haq and Kanav Badyal for keeping the legacy alive and providing a strong platform for local youth to showcase their skills.
The highlight of the evening was the trophy unveiling ceremony, greeted with thunderous applause as the glittering RSL trophies were presented – symbols of honour and sporting excellence. Distinguished guests Iqbal Shawl, Parvez Choudhary, Vikrant Sharma, Vishal Pahari, Rakesh Sharma, and Priyanka Khajuria graced the occasion, adding to its prestige.
Team captains interacted with the MLA and organizers, expressing optimism and enthusiasm for the forthcoming matches. This season, the champion team will receive Rs 1, 00,000, while the runner-up will get Rs 50,000, raising the stakes for intense competition.
