JAMMU, Sept 27: With 7.50 points each, Aradhya Garg of Delhi, Mitrabha Guha of West Bengal and Iniyan P of Tamil Nadu were leading after round 9 of the 41st National Sub Junior Open Chess Championship, while Vaishali R of Tamil Nadu was the clear leader with 7.50 points, while Priyanka Nutakki and Priyanka K with 7 points each were leading after round 9 in the 32nd National Sub Junior Girls Chess Championship, being organized by All J&K Chess Association at Jalsa Retreat, Domana, here.
The Championship is being held under the supervision of Atul Gupta, president All J&K Chess Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Twenty six States drawn from the country are taking part in the Championship, wherein 184 players (including 77 girls) alongwith 150 coaches and managers are participating.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is selection event for World Youth Olympiad (U-16). Apart from this, top six players from boys and girls will be sent for exposure trips to Spain and Russia by All India Chess Federation.
