KATHUA, July 16: J&K Democratic Teachers Forum has appealed the Minister for Youth Service and Sports Taj Mohi-ud-Din to order filling up of 127 vacant posts of Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs) in the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
During a meeting of the Forum, its president Kapil Bakshi said that the Physical Education Masters (PEMs) were waiting for their promotion as ZPEOs for quite a long time.
The Forum also urged the minister to order filling up of 194 posts of Plus-two Physical Education Lecturers (PELs) through direct recruitment by the PSC.
Those who attended the meeting, included Drub Singh Pathania, Tara Chand Sharma, Bansi Lal, Sunil Gupta, Ashutosh Sharma, Rajesh Singh Sambyal, Pardeep Bali, Vinod Bali, Ram Saran Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Amar Singh, Mohinder Kumar, Kulbhushan Sharma, Mukesh Khajuria, Parveen Gupta and others.
